Project Overview - FA Girls' Football Schools Partnership
BPSS will once again be managing the Barclays Girls’ Football School Partnership for Barnet.
The Football Association supported by Barclays and the Youth Sport Trust have recruited a network of education-based partnerships with schools throughout England. Known as Barclays Girls’ Football School Partnerships - supported by England Football, they are strategic partnerships with families of schools that are committed to the growth and development of girls’ football.
Barclays Girls’ Football School Partnerships aim to develop innovative ways to deliver football for girls, improving participation from their very first experience; creating an active and confident generation of inspired female footballers, coaches, officials, leaders, activists and marketeers.
WHAT ARE OUR AMBITIONS?
- Demonstrate the value of girl’s football within whole school through delivery of bespoke interventions for schools through which schools can access FREE CPD and resources
- Advocate the impact of football on girls’ wellbeing, leadership and achievement
- Develop and test specialist interventions and learning through the vehicle of football in schools
- Collaborate with partners to support transition of young people to sustain their involvement in girls’ football.
WHAT DOES EACH school RECEIVE?
- Training, resources, equipment and engagement with positive role models
- A range of resources, videos and training, plus so much more available to you which aims to enhance the delivery of football for girls within the PE curriculum at your school.
