Year 7/8 Dodgeball Festival (Secondary Events)

Back to calendar

Festival

This festival is targeted at individuals who will not have the opportunity to represent their school and would benefit from attending this event.

Festival Format

The children will be playing games against other schools, however the event will be a festival format with no overall winner

Teams

6 - 8 players (6 players on court at once) - encouraged to have a mixture of boys and girls

Teachers/School Staff

We will be promoting School Games Values throughout the festival where students will be asked to demonstrate honesty if they are 'out'. However, we will be asking school staff attending to be assisting with games and that students are following the festival rules.

Festival Rules

The object of the game is to eliminate all opposing players by getting them "OUT". This may be done by:

1. Hitting an opposing player with a LIVE thrown ball below the shoulders.

2. Catching a LIVE ball thrown by your opponent before it touches the ground.

Once all players from one team are deemed 'out', the game can restart.

Full rules will be sent out to schools booked on.

Spectators

Are welcome, however they must remain on the balcony and refrain from taking pictures. They are the schools responsibility, and will be asked to leave if they do not follow the BPSS Code of Conduct.

Please note non buy in schools will be charged to attend this event
