Pathway

This tournament is aimed at your most able students. This is a competitive tournament where schools will play multiple games.

Winning schools will play a futher game against the winners from the PM tournament to lead on to London Youth Games.

Schools can book on to either the morning or afternoon session - not stipulated on location in the borough

Team Requirements:

Squads of 10 players maximum

6 players from each team will be playing at any one time rolling substitutions can be made during any match – ensure you notify the referee.

All competitors must be attending primary school in the appropriate year

Tournament Format:

The tournament will comprise of 6-a-side football games. 

Games will be approx 8 minutes with no half time.

Three points are awarded for a win, 1 for a draw, 0 for loss.

Group placing will be determined in the following order: Points accrued, Goal Difference, Number of goals scored, Record between the two teams if level after above. If level after all above, a sudden death penalty shoot out will decide

Please note, in the event of the scores being level after full time in knockout matches, the winning team will be decided by penalties.

School staff attending

Leaders will be officiating games, school staff will not be expected to referee matches.

We highly recommend school staff attending have been provided knowledge of the rules and tournament formats prior to arrival. The BPSS team will be able to assist with any questions on the day.

Please note, there is a charge to attend this event if you are a non buy in school.
